About Department
Government Degree College, Kamalpur was started in the year 1987. Since inception ‘Economics’ could be taken as an elective subject. Then graduation course was of ‘Twoyears Degree’ for Pass category and ‘Three years Degree’ for Honours students. Since then, students are studying Economics even though in few numbers. Although this department offered only B.A. Pass Course in Economics, every year very few students had been found to be inquisitive about likely introduction of Economics Honours in this college.
